Species description
Tanglehare are long-legged browsing fenborn with split outer toes and hooked dewclaws that let them pivot through dense vine tangles at speed. Their whiskers are unusually long and help map narrow passages in low light.
Field note
Repeated Tanglehare routes create tunnel networks used by ground birds and small juveniles. Decorative snare lines set for their long whiskers cause far more accidental mortality than legal harvesting ever did.
