Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026 · Version 2026-09-29
Service: Fens
Operator: Jeremy Scott Clanton, individual operator, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Privacy contact: [email protected]
1. Scope
This Policy explains how Fens collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the site, sign in, create a Keeper account, play, communicate, or make a purchase.
2. Information we collect
Google sign-in information
New Fens accounts use Sign in with Google through Supabase authentication. After you authorize Google sign-in, Fens may receive your Google account name, email address, profile picture, and a provider-specific account identifier. Fens does not receive your Google password.
Account and gameplay information
We store information needed to operate your Keeper account and persistent game world, such as your public Keeper name, profile image, creatures, creature names, inventories, balances, progression, activities, trades, game results, preferences, moderation status, and other gameplay records.
Community content
If you use forums, messages, profiles, custom names, bios, or other community features, we store the content you submit and related metadata needed to display, moderate, and secure it. Some of this information is public by design, including public Keeper names and public creature records.
Purchase information
Stripe processes paid Gleam transactions. Fens does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. Fens does store limited purchase records such as the purchased pack, Gleam amount, transaction amount and currency, checkout/payment identifiers, status, timestamps, and information needed to fulfill, reconcile, refund, dispute, or investigate the transaction.
Technical and security information
Fens and its service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, authentication events, error logs, security events, and approximate network location inferred from an IP address. This information is used for delivery, security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
Support information
If you contact Fens, we may keep your email address, message, attachments you send, and records of the support or moderation issue.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate users and maintain Keeper accounts.
- Operate the persistent game world, economy, markets, battles, activities, social features, and public records.
- Process and fulfill Gleam purchases and handle refunds, disputes, fraud, or chargebacks.
- Provide support, investigate reports, enforce the Terms and Rules, and protect players and the service.
- Detect abuse, exploits, suspicious account activity, and security incidents.
- Maintain, debug, measure, and improve Fens.
- Comply with legal, accounting, tax, payment-network, and regulatory obligations that apply to the operator.
4. Service providers and disclosures
Fens uses third-party providers to operate the service. Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by:
- Google for Google account authentication.
- Supabase for authentication, databases, storage, and server-side functions.
- Stripe for payment processing, payment security, refunds, and payment disputes.
- Vercel for website hosting, delivery, and operational logs.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to valid legal process. If Fens is transferred to another operator, relevant account and service records may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
5. Google user data
Fens uses Google account data only to authenticate you, associate your login with your Fens account, and prefill or display account information as described above. Fens does not use Google account data for targeted advertising and does not sell Google user data. Revoking Fens' Google access stops future Google-authenticated access, but it does not by itself delete information already stored in your Fens account. Contact us to request deletion.
6. Sale, sharing, and advertising
Fens does not sell personal information for money and does not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising. Fens does not operate a data-broker business. Service-provider disclosures described in this Policy are made to operate Fens, process payments, secure the service, and support users.
7. Cookies and local storage
Fens and its providers may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, session persistence, preferences, and game functionality. Fens does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.
8. Retention
Account and gameplay records are generally retained while your account exists. Some records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, payment reconciliation, chargebacks, accounting, legal compliance, moderation history, backups, or dispute resolution. Public or community content may also persist where another user's record depends on it or where removal would compromise a shared ledger or moderation record.
9. Your choices and requests
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before acting on a request. We will honor rights required by applicable law and may retain limited information where law or legitimate security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute needs permit it.
You may disconnect Fens from your Google Account through Google's account controls. Disconnecting Google does not automatically delete your Fens account or purchase history.
10. Public information
Fens is partly a public persistent world. Your chosen Keeper name, public profile elements, public creature records, market listings, forum posts, or other content marked or designed as public may be visible to visitors or other players. Do not put sensitive personal information in public-facing fields.
11. Security
Fens uses access controls, authenticated service providers, server-side authorization, and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small online service. No online system is perfectly secure, and Fens cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
12. Age restriction
Fens is intended for adults age 18 or older and is not directed to children. If we learn that an underage person has created an account, we may restrict or delete it and take appropriate steps regarding associated data.
13. United States operation and international users
Fens is operated from the United States and its providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. If you use Fens from another country, your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data-protection rules.
14. Do Not Track and preference signals
Because Fens does not currently sell personal information or use third-party behavioral advertising, browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change the site's advertising behavior. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally binding privacy preference signal, Fens will address that requirement as its processing practices evolve.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy as Fens or its providers change. Material changes will receive a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice or renewed acceptance.
