Species description
Gloammarten are cold-city fenborn that detect tiny temperature differences through dense facial whiskers. They patrol utility networks for rodents and repeatedly sleep near warm junctions without chewing cables or insulation.
Field note
Maintenance crews treat sudden changes in Gloammarten routes as a clue that a heating line has cooled or a new leak has formed. Poison campaigns aimed at urban pests often kill them secondarily.
