Cinderkite are batlike gliding fenborn with long heat-resistant wing fingers and pale sensory patches around the muzzle. Colonies emerge into warm updrafts at dusk to hunt dense swarms of vent-associated insects.
What Keepers notice
A large colony can remove enormous numbers of parasitic insects from nearby pack dens and worker camps. Sealing unused industrial chimneys without checking roosts has become a recurring source of mass mortality.
