The Collegium catalog of thirty-one recurring forces observed in landscape, weather, living creatures, materials, memory, and time.
Scholars call them Currents because none remains confined to one species, one substance, or one place. The same Current may appear in a creature’s body, a medicine, a storm front, a mineral seam, or an instrument built to conduct it.

No Current carries an accepted moral character. Light has been used for surgery and interrogation. Decay clears dead growth and destroys stores. Blood records kinship and spreads disease. Void can numb pain and remove more than the patient intended.
Expression
Species show recurring affinities, but individuals vary. Habitat, weather, training, injury, diet, equipment, and long familiarity with a Keeper can all change how a Current presents without changing the creature into something else.
Why the catalog matters
Current notation appears in medicine, engineering, freight handling, sanctuary records, field surveys, and sanctioned bout tables. The symbols are among the few technical marks understood almost everywhere in the basin.
