Moonreed
The largest permanent settlement in Lumaweald, built across linked timber and living platforms above flood-shifting ground.
Moonreed is maintained continuously rather than finished. Older walkways flex, civic spans are braced and rebraced, and local route knowledge changes with water level.
Platform life
Boots drain upside down from rail pegs, repair marks identify who last worked a span, and children learn which luminous growth is safe to touch before most visitors learn its name.
Local arguments
Logging, habitat closures, freight prices, outside researchers, and which paths should remain unmarked are ordinary civic disputes, not evidence that the settlement holds one view of the forest.
